The Venue
As the name might suggest, Millworks is in an old mill building, right on the millpond, with views over the River Granta. We’ve lots of outdoor seating where you can watch the famous Cambridge punts drifting downriver.
We lovingly restored the old mill wheel which is now pride of place in the centre of the restaurant. There aren’t many venues where you can watch a working mill wheel whirl away whilst you eat!
We’re a short walk away from the centre of Cambridge. Just minutes from the famous ‘Backs’ of the university colleges or from the history, shopping and exploring that the beautiful city of Cambridge has to offer.

The Food & Drink
As it should in any restaurant, our food and drink is our pride and joy (even more than the, sometimes temperamental, mill wheel!).
We source food locally wherever we can and specialise in meat and fish dishes — cooked on-site in our wonderful charcoal oven. We update our menus regularly to keep things fresh and seasonal and we offer lots of great gluten free, vegetarian or vegan options.
Our friends at Cambridge Wine Merchants supply our range of wonderful French wines and we work with local breweries to supply delicious beers, lagers and ales too.

The Special Touches
Great food, in a gorgeous location deserves the best service and we deliver that too.
Another of Millworks’ unique features is our ‘service switchboard’.
Each table has a ‘service switch’. If you need something, be that another fork to share your pudding or a fresh round of drinks, flick the switch and your table number lights up on the board to alert our team.
No more awkward moments of having to try and catch someone’s eye or breaking off from your conversation to ask for the bill — service comes, literally, at the touch of a button.
